not impressed I have tried the obd1 kit with my md1042 on 9 different cars and haven't linked with a single car. All cars were Ford or gm. So far it has been a big waste of money. If you love burning money in a trash can then this is the kit for you! April 7, 2013
MD1042 w/this kit is a "No Starter". The MD1042 is "competent" insofar as "any" OBDII tool is concerned. The OBDI adapter kit, however, has not worked for 4 out of 5 vehicles I've used it on recently. All vehicles were GM #all but one was a Chevy, all were V8 TPI#. The one vehicle that did communicate w/the MD1042 using the OBDI Adapter kit was a 1992 Camaro. I wouldn't recommend this adapter kit or the MD1042 for use in attempting to diagnose OBDI. Doesnt do much I Have the obd2 md1052 scan tool and obd1 adaptor kit. Not happy that the obd1 kit doesnt do a 95 oldmobile or a 85 monte carlo, the obd1 is a hit or miss, so i wouldnt recommend the obd1 adaptor kit. January 25, 2012
works great with the md1052 very handy I had been trying to find a tool that does both obd1 and obd2 I found this kit and asked my tool guy to let me see it when it when he orders one... I fell in love with it the first time I used it... worked great...with the md1052 obd2 so I bought both kits... September 5, 2011
