This item is good for the price I have had this reader for over a month , does good but all of things are not supported. I use it all the time to read the engine light but when you try to do some features just cant get it to work . Still for the price it is a great scanner and the fix assist is nice. Just ordered the MD75 and hopefully will do what im looking for it to do with having to pay 4 grand for a computer. MATCO RULES April 14, 2015
Good scanner for the money I have owned this for about three months, and it has performed the way I expected. This tool simplifies the diagnostic process by scanning for a code, and giving a small description of what to check for specific to that code. If need be, you can also read live data to help aid in your diagnostics. You can also plug this tool into your laptop, and it will automatically open the Matco Repair Solutions website(program needs to be installed first) so you can enter customer and vehicle information, and save it to your Report History. This will also bring up other options like Diagnostic Data, TSB/Recalls, and Verified Fixes that are specific to the code. Sometimes their are more than one verified fix, which is why you should not base your diagnostic on one particular result without your own verification. Clicking on the Diagnostic Data tab will give you more options of diagnostic for a particular code. Example, 05 Nissan Murano has a P0420 code, Catalyst Efficiency Below Normal (Bank 1) . The handheld will detect a failed emissions issue, will read the code and give a brief description of diagnostic. If you choose to, you can plug it into the laptop, and the Verified Fixes tab option will give the most reported issue that has been fixed specific to the code. For this Murano, the only Verified Fix was to replace the Catalytic Converter. Now, of course you would want to verify this, and you can do so by clicking the Diagnostic Data tab that will give you the Possible Causes that will throw the same code. In this case, check that its not just an O2 sensor fault, such as contamination, or loose connection, or even a loose sensor in the mounting hole. Also, air leaks in the exhaust, both of which can throw the same code. I hope this helps in guiding you to get his scanner tool. It will pay for itself in no time. Compared to other scanners, this is a more simplified way in diagnostics, however it is limited to certain manufacturers ABS/SRS codes. My only complaints are that, I wish it had an internal rechargeable battery, it uses standard AA I believe. I haven't changed them since I have owned it, so battery life doesn't appear to be that bad so far. I wish the cord for the OBD connector was longer, most of the time your kind of holding the scanner in your lap because it cant reach any higher. For the Matco Repair Solutions, I wish their was an option to delete certain Reports, edit Reports for your records, such as notes as to what was done to fix the issue. You can print or email the diagnostic report, which is good to share with customers and even save with the repair order with the shops records. You will need wifi or internet access to use Matco Repair Solutions, I am fortunate that shop has wifi, however some shops do not which will limit your ability to use the tool to its full potential. Overall, great scanner tool, I would definitely recommend this to anybody that could use a more simplified way to perform diagnostics quicker. February 8, 2015

Doesn't do what it says It has a feature to perform the on board evap test but will not run. It says not supported. I tried more than 30 different times on different cars. The unit is less than a year old and the shielding on the cable pulled through the case and bare wires are exposed. May 23, 2014
I'm pleased with the product I'm pleased with the product. For the price, It has preformed excellent. I spent two weeks looking for a scanner that would give me all the functions that I needed. many scanners are too much money for little action. Thank you Matco! January 14, 2014
