Rated 1 out of 5 by just ok.has some great features. Cannot get a lot of information out of lot of cars mostly will let u control sensors and solenoids but u can't get watch the data when controlling it.example I was trying to control cam actuators on a Chevy trailblazer but icould not see were the degrees were when I was controlling it.I needed to see were they were to verify if the solenoid was working or the phaser was working or if the chain was stretched.also led me in the wrong direction when diagnosing a vehicle because I could not get data when controlling sensors October 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by GREAT SCANNER FOR THE PRICE When i first got the scanner i didn't seem to work correctly and had some problems. I submitted complaints to matco/launch technical support and they gave me fast customer service. Well after a few firmware updates its like a whole new scanner. New software/update come out all the time and it only take a few minutes to update via internet. You also don't have to pay extra for european software. The obd II connector is wireless which is a nice feature. It gives you the ability to control components from anywhere around the vehicle while testing at the same time. Sure its not as good as factory scanners (ford ids, etc), but for the price and the ability to work on all makes and models its a great deal. November 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A fantastic tool! Tool works nearly as well as dealership scan tools. The programs and ease of use are very good. Launch is quick to help with any issues that may come up. If you work on a wide variety of cars this is a good investment. November 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as advertised.. I have been a "Launch" scanner customer for over twelve years. After much comparisons between this Matco scanner to the versions offered by Launch, I chose this one because it was advertised to have the ability to scan and read VINs....NOT SO. The camera does not have the ability to focus or scan VINs. It also does not have the ability to print anything with out a third party Android app. It is also running a very dated version Android that limits many of the optional Android apps from Google Play. If I had known of the limitations, I would have purchased one of the Launch scanners at a sizable savings. These problems are suppose to be in review with Matco, but after about seven weeks of ownership, there have been no resolutions. October 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good product overall good product overall, couple of small issues, the mini usb charging port is problematic, I have had to bend the edges several times to allow the plug to make contact properly. the fact that the maxgo application will not rotate like the rest of the software is not great. other than that I have been pleased with the tool October 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like the max go , It has a lot of helpful features I would recommend this product , I have already repaired a number of vehicles , It has the ability of going the extra step to help on diagnosis of of vehicles I coulded before, and being wireless is a plus no cables to get in the way, I feel I made a good investment , and. Being android based I use it as regular tablet October 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but not great yet. MaxGo is useful as a code reader and to control / test devices. The WiFi update feature is convenient to stay current. It lacks graphing speed and the ability to zoom in on a graph to make it useful. The set up process has a lot of options that make the process of plugging in to getting information slow.
