Worked where other would not. I have a boat with very small filter located in a difficult spot to get a wrench, unless it is extended outward from the filter. Also the filter was on so tight the strap type wrenches would just slid over the filter. I tried the socket type wrench and it collapsed the filter flats as the metal is very thin. Next the plier type with sharp points was used but it just tore holes and crushed the filter. The 3-JAW wrench worked great. The jaws grab around the flats and slow even pressure applied with a ratchet wrench broke it loose. I was skeptical but it really works!! Mike E November 10, 2011
