lots power and torque I'm in automotive collision field and used lots of angled die grinders, all them seemed to be slow and lacking power, I always bogged them down. Not this one I haven't ran into a situation that has come close to bogging it down, it strips painted surfaces as if there isn't anything there. Also very quiet compared to other angle die grinders in the shop. March 24, 2014
Powerful and smooth I use a lot of grinders and this one has as much power and is as smooth as my more expensive models. A little bigger in size than I like but the power and smoothness still makes it one that I use a lot. January 10, 2014
Heavy duty grinder, but made in Taiwan I'm an Aviation student that is taking advantage of Matco's Tech Ed discount program. I chose this grinder over a similarly priced Snap-On. The Matco grinder's specs were better for less money. I was disappointed when I found out this grinder was made in Taiwan. Had I known this, I would have paid more for Snap-On's made in the USA grinder. I decided to try it anyway. I was actually very impressed with the performance. It's very powerful and you could barely feel any vibration at high RPMs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I would buy Matco again unless the Snap-On version is the same price for an equal tool. October 2, 2013
Good tool Slightly larger grinder than I had expected, but the power is far exceding smaller dies. Good heavy weight and seems to be very durable. This tool has tons of power for 3" grinding disks (roloc style) as well as carbide burrs. December 20, 2012
This is,a great tool I am a machinist and grind all the time. This tool never fails and will not,bog down. April 25, 2013
Doesn't get any better Ive had multiple brand die grinders and I cant say I've been attatched to any of them like I am this one. Super quiet, feels great, its the perfect size and the power is there when you need it! October 18, 2011
Great for everyday use This product works amazingly. Use it everyday for brakes, tire patches when they come around. This thing hasn't even attempted to quit on me and I push it hard... Its a must need for everyday use. October 5, 2011
Freezes up Lots of power, but it is intolerant to cold weather. I have a 35cfm compressor on my service truck with a drier/regulator/oiler and if it gets below 35 out the throttle sticks and eventually the tool locks up. The 1 hp model is the same way. It would be a 5 star tool if I worked inside. March 3, 2013
