When I made the decision to start my own business, I was at the end of my rope. I wanted to own my own business, not feel like I was owned. I wanted a change.

If I need a day off, I don't have to ask someone for permission. I set my own hours, sign my own paycheck, and schedule my own appointments.

Not only am I the boss, I'm the only employee. I don't have to worry about workman's comp, insurance premiums, or whether other people will show up in the morning. The buck begins and stops with me.

I like being a small business man. It's a better fit for me than punching a clock. I made change happen with Matco.
