VERY Bright! For such a tiny pocket light that can fit in the palm of your hand, this light is incredibly bright! This can illuminate an entire engine bay and still fit neatly in a shirt pocket. It also has a clip with a built in hook, or a magnetic base which is fairly strong for the smaller surface area.
However I have reliability concerns, because my first unit completely stopped working after sliding off of a hood of a Silverado by accident. My Matco dealer swapped it for me and now my second unit intermittently works. At times it will not work at all, sometimes it works but for very short periods and/or at a significantly lower output, or it just works perfectly fine. I always use it till the battery runs out and charge it fully but considering I've only had it for a couple months, I worry about long term reliability.
All in all, when it works its a fantastic value for a great little light. Just be cautious, or maybe I'm just unlucky.
