Good Scanner With Many Options, But some Options MissingSo this review is based on owning it two years and doing minimal work on cars. My dad is a mechanic and needed me to run tests on things here and there.
I tried it first on my 2004 Envoy and it worked great. Did a lot of good things and tests. Scanned everything and would let me turn on things to test them. What I did not see was VIN Relearn for the radio. My Solus Ultra did it in a snap.
Used in on other cars here and there. Found that for Fords and some cars it has KOER and KOEO.
Which is good. It did relearns of IDLE on my Nissan Sentra as well last year. I worked on an Acura and it Relearned the TPMS sensors without the TPMS tool. Here is where it failed there. It did not have the VSA Reset anywhere on any menu. That is odd since Launch has the older model CRP123 being able to do such function.
So I found that dissapointing. I tried it on a Mazda and it found the error for the Radio the lady was having. There was no option to do a reset. I had to pull the fuse myself and let it reset that way. I worked on a Chrysler 300 and I was able to reprogram a key. That was awesome. I did a Ford SUV and it had the keyfob relearn. Though it didn't do it itself. It gave you the steps to program them.
I did a VW Jetta and tried to learn a key. It has a tool to get the pin code and when I attempted it. It failed and failed. So I gave it up. Did a Toyota RAV and it found all sorts of codes that I told the lady about. It did brake bleeding and AC actuator relearn for a Tahoe.
Does it do a lot yes. But I found myself running to the Solus at times for some functions that this one was missing. There is a new update and I will see if it has the feature to reset the VSA on the Acura. Be advised that if you work on a Honda and it has VSA and you do a clear all codes. The VSA Light will turn on and will need a relearn.
My two cents. I have this one and the Solus Ultra and the Maxgo and MaxME as well as the MaxGo and the Autel DS808. For the Nissan I could not find the misfire on this tool or the Solus for each spark plug. But the Autel DS808 has it. So yeah I am still testing them and seeing which one I could keep and which one to get rid of.

good but has glitchesmaximus is a decent tool but has some minor glitches. it is fast. the bluetooth dlc disconnects while reading datastream and cranking while diagnosing a no start. when attemping some special tests it will display" cannot complete test, criteria not met" which is fine but it doesnt display what the criteria is to run the test. the software is full of spelling and grammar errors. overall it has many great attributes but the software interface could use some polishing. this scantool would be a challenge to use for a new tech.

Very slow, says cars has options they clearly do notBought this tool because I was told it was better than my snap on scanner... Boy what a mistake, this tool takes forever to load and does not have nearly the features I was told it had. This scanner tells me false information about vehicles that I am working on. Also when graphing my old snap on scanner recorded every graph even if it was not on the screen while this one only records what I am looking at... Do yourself a favor and do not purchase this scanner
