Super flexible tablet with lots of featuresThis is a normal tablet in a fancy case. I made a rather positive review on here showing its pros and cons but they removed it because it showed how porly made this device is. Now I do not recomend. Search YouTube I have the only review of this up on there, they haven't seemed to notice that, it shows what it really is but sadly in a positive light whitch I now see should be corrected....

Master Technician toolI had first use of the product it was buggy. I try to reset a customer car and had to send it to another tech costing me money. It function properly after I put on the subscription but I want the one with bi directional out the box. For the price it OK but if I'm going to pay subscription at year 2 I should have gotten the 3.0. I tried to return it to my truck guy but he suggested that the 3.0 cost to much for me. I would still like the 3.0 but I don't want to buy two scanners to do so. I don't recommend to a tech that depends and the only scanner thats in the shop.

Bi Directional Controls Dont Always WorkPurchased tool and subscribed to domestic bundle. I am a GM dealer tech but since GM went to a laptop it’s inconvenient to test drive. This tool has bi-directional controls that rarely work. Either nothing happens or it crashes or it says wrong vehicle or there is no data stream to see what the test is accomplishing. It also randomly says a module is not installed. I keep having to go back to the GM dealer GDS system to do things the tool says it does. Want my money back

look up a video review.unless you want everything you have to say THIS BRAND pass on this
I should have done more research on this before having my dealer order it. a quick video search on a large video platform would have been enough.
i suggest you do the same.
can't say who makes scanner or the software because its against the review guidelines but i can tell you the hardware in this is, sad...
and the software is the same as the other companies but with a different UI, and a few things on the back end for separate activation...
i guess they thought such things will go over most mechanics heads.....
very, very poor customer treatment.

Not made for shops.Matco did not make this with worken mechanics in mind. I have owned mine for three months. It fell once and the screen cracked. Now the screen worked, just the glass cracked. The massive case they put this small iddy bitty leavo tab in does nothing. Matco also does not care that they built a scanner that cannot take the abuse that a snap on scanner can handle. It cost me 500 dollars to get a replacement. To top that off I don't even get the same scanner back because they are unserviceable apparently. So all my Google information is now floating around on a tab I'll never see again. Wouldn't buy this fragile scanner even for my baby.

Buggy MessThis buggy mess was engineered by someone who clearly doesn't work on cars for a living. MaxFlex software often acts glitchy when it needs an update. Problem is you get "Downloading failed" often and even when it reads 'Installed successfully" you back out and it's glitched right back to where you were. Currently stuck on an infinite loop redownloading BMW. I've successfully installed Ford twice and Aston Martin 4 times and I'm still stuck with a glitched paperweight when I needed a scantool. The inability to just pick this thing up and get to work in any timely fashion is heinous and it's the worst scantool I've used in the last 3 years between Snap On and Matco

Love the wireless not the speedPreviously I had a wired Snap-on ethos plus and the speed difference between the two is night and day. I bought this scan tool only because I was promised bi-directional functionality. When I got to using it I realized it doesn’t have that capability unless you are subscribed to the make. No other scan tool I’ve ever used prohibited this feature unless you have a current subscription. I do enjoy the fact however you can subscribe solely to a specific make. Overall the speed is slower than snap on but I do like the wireless capability. Also the fact that it is a full fledged tablet is convenient.
